Nancy L. (Yangas) Lakotich
January 22, 1958 — August 25, 2017
Nancy L. Lakotich (nee Yangas), age 59, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, August 25, 2017 with her loving family by her side.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Gary E. Lakotich; children, Ryan (Michelle) Smith, Kristy (Marcos) Ruiz and Jason Lakotich; grandchildren, Miguel, Elsie, Vanden, Maclan, Ava, Calvin; and brother, Walter Yangas.
Preceded in death by her parents, George and Edna Yangas.
Nancy was born on January 22, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois. She and her family later moved to Joliet, Illinois where she resided most of her life. Nancy worked at Mitchells Meat Market for 15 years as well as Shorewood Family Dental for 18 years. She had a love for all animals, enjoyed baking and spending time on the lake. Nancy lived for her children and grandchildren. She had a positive influence on every person she interacted with. Nancy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Nancy’s family would be appreciated.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will begin on Friday, September 1, 2017 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL 60435. Per Nancy’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
