Mirian Fragoso Meneses

Mirian “Miri” Fragoso Meneses, 42, de Joliet Illinois, partio a encontrarse con el Señor el Domingo 28 de Abril del 2024. La acompañaron hasta sus últimos momentos su familia y amigos cercanos.

Miri nació un Martes 10 de Noviembre de 1981, de Teodora Meneses Meneses y el fallecido Vivaldo Fragoso Garcia. Creció en la ciudad de Puebla, donde vivió hasta que emigró a los Estados Unidos en el año 2006. Mírian adoptó Joliet como su segundo hogar y vivió ahí hasta que valientemente perdió su batalla contra el cáncer. Fue en Joliet donde, en el año 2007, mientras trabajaba como mesera en el restaurante "La Villa” conoció a su esposo Carlos Martinez, quien se hizo cliente frecuente con la intención de robarle el corazón, hasta que lo logro! Comenzaron su vida juntos en el 2007 acompañados de su hijo Augustine (Chris) Vélez Fragoso y sus hijastros Alixandra y Roberto Martinez.

Mirian fue una guerrera, llena de vida y alegría que llevo felicidad a cualquiera que la conociera. Siempre bromista, tenia la sonrisa más grande y sincera, y el mejor sentido de la moda. Siempre sensible a las necesidades de otros, fue generosa con su amor y su tiempo. Su familia y amigos fueron su mayor tesoro, visitándolos siempre en cada oportunidad, ya fuera cerca o lejos. Le encantaba escuchar música, bailar, ir de pesca, de cacería o en paseo en moto con su esposo. Ninguna aventura era desaprovechada!

En su juventud en México, trabajó en control de calidad para luego convertirse en una aprendiz de todo. Nunca se echo para atrás a las oportunidades, en sus palabras: Tu aviéntate a todo, alcabo igual van a tener que enseñarte aunque sea un poquito como hacerlo!”

La sobreviven su amado esposo Carlos y su hijo Augustine (Chris); sus hijastros Alix y Roberto (Roxana); sus nietas Aaliyah y Camila; su mamá Teodora Meneses; sus hermanos Laura y Juan Fragoso Meneses; sus sobrinos, sobrinas y muchos amigos, que también se convirtieron en familia para ella. La precedió en muerte su padre, Vivaldo Fragoso Garcia.

El Velorio se llevará acabo el Jueves 2 de Mayo del 2024 de 4pm a 8 pm en Tezak’s Home to Celebrate Life con dirección en 1211 Plainfield Rd Joliet, IL 60435. La Misa Funeraria será el Viernes 3 de Mayo del 2024 a la 1:00 pm en la Iglesia Católica de San Juan Bautista con dirección en 404 N Hickory St Joliet, IL 60435.

Todos son bienvenidos a acompañar a la familia a despedir a Mirian en su lugar de reposo final, Woodlawn Memorial Park, inmediatamente después de Misa.

Mirian "Miri" Fragoso Meneses, 42, of Joliet, Illinois, went to be with the Lord on Sunday April 28, 2024. She was surrounded by family and friends.

Miri was born on November 10, 1981, in Puebla, Mexico to Teodora Meneses Meneses and the late Vivaldo Fragoso Garcia. She was raised in Puebla City, where she lived until she emigrated to the US in 2006. She adopted Joliet as her second home and lived there until her death. It was also in Joliet that while working as a waitress at “La Villa Restaurant” in 2007, she met her husband, Carlos Martinez, who was a regular patron, if only to charm his way through her heart. They started their life together in 2007 along with her son Augustine (Christopher) Velez Fragoso, stepdaughter Alixandra Martinez and stepson Roberto Martinez.

Mirian was a warrior, full of life and joy, who brought happiness to everyone she met. Always quick with a joke, she had the biggest, brightest smile and best sense for fashion. She was sensitive to other people’s needs and generous with her love and time. Her family and friends were her greatest joy, she visited them at every opportunity she had, all near and far. She also enjoyed listening to music, dancing, fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles with her husband. Every adventure called her name!

In her early years, she worked in Quality Control in Mexico, and later she became a “Jack of All Trades”, never backing down from a job opportunity. In her words “just go for it, they will have to teach you how to do it anyway!”.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carlos and her son, Augustine (Chris); her stepchildren Alix and Roberto (Roxana); granddaughters Aaliyah and Camila; her mother, Teodora Meneses; sister Laura and brother Juan Fragoso Meneses; many nieces and nephews and a big family of friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Vivaldo Fragoso Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life, located at 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 3rd, 2024, at 1:00 pm at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 404 N Hickory St, Joliet, IL 60435.

Everyone is welcome to join the family to say goodbye to Mirian at her final resting place, Woodlawn Memorial Park, immediately after mass.
