Milka (Novakovich) Grubisich

Milka Grubisich (nee Novakovich), age 78, at rest on Friday, February 26, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
Milka is survived by her loving children, Nick (Elizabeth) Grubisich of Joliet and Mollie Reposh of Lockport; cherished grandchildren, Dan and Martha Grubisich, Kiersten, Ryan, Kaitlyn, and Regan Reposh; dear brother, Milan (Milica) Novakovich; dearest cousins, Donna Curry and Lily Volgaris; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
Preceded in death by her husband, Dusan Grubisich; parents, Nickola and Sava (nee Lukich) Novakovich; sister Soka Labus; brother, Dragon Novakovich.
Milka was born in Yugoslavia and resided in Lockport for most of her lifetime. She was a longtime parishioner of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church and member of St. George Circle of Serbian Sisters.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Milka’s caregiver, Jenny Burdette.
Funeral services for Milka will begin on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. then driving in procession to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Joliet for a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday, February 29, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435.
