Miguel Olvera Sr., 44 entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
I was heartbroken to announce the death of my father, Miguel Olvera Sr... He was very loved and will be missed tremendously. My father was a proud and courageous service member for The Illinois Army National Guard and The United States Army. After having served faithfully and honorably for over 6 years of active duty he was retired on May 29th, 2010 with the rank of Sergeant. He was a decorated war veteran of The United States Army who received many awards and accommodations, including a Bronze Star for distinguishing himself during combat with heroism and meritorious service. He also completed a wounded warrior triathlon. For the last 6 months a big part of my dad's life has been something called F3. F3 is an international men's leadership group all around Chicagoland. They focus on building male community leaders by focusing on the 3 Fs, fitness, fellowship, and faith.
In that circle he was known as Chicken Hawk.
Above all else he was a loving son, a strong brother, a devoted father, an incredible Uncle, and a brave leader who had the greatest smile.
Miguel is preceded in death by his mother, Elisha R. Olvera
Left to cherish his memory is his son: Miguel Jr.; father: Jose J. Olvera; sibilins: Jose (Patty) Olvera, Elisha R. Olvera, Raymond C. Olvera and Samuel D. Olvera as well as his nieces and nephews: Keegan and Jackson Olvera, Jade and Scarlett Sievers and Eli and Calli Olvera.
