Michael Richard Majetic

Age 58 of Shorewood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and love on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Amita Health Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born November 8, 1962 in Joliet, Michael was a son of Patricia (Zaccaria) and the late Eugene Majetic. Michael worked as a carpenter and was proud to be his own boss and business owner. He was an avid Chicago sports team fan, especially the Cubs and the Bears. Michael enjoyed singing along to the Beatles and playing guitar with his son Jacob. He also loved to take his family boating and spending as much time as possible on the water. Michael also cherished all the time spent watching his daughters play softball and traveling around to attend the various tournaments they played in. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his mother: Patricia; daughters: Morgan and Delaini Majetic; son: Jacob Majetic; sister: Gina (Pat) Furey; nieces: Nicole and Tawni Majetic, Violet Furey, and Addison Majetic, and nephews: Jesse Majetic and Maclin Furey.

He is preceded in death by his father: Eugene and brother: Phil Majetic.

Per Michael’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial service beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet.

In lieu of flowers, the Majetic family requests donations be made to the ALS Association that Michael was a part of after his diagnosis in March 2021. https://www.als.org/donate
