Michael R. Kucinic

Michael R. Kucinic, age 96, of Wilmington, at rest Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at his late residence.

Survived by his loving children Patricia (the late Thomas) Blotnik, Sharon (Jesse Wilson) Lockhard Wilson, and Michael (Nancy) Kucinic, Jr.; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Gertrude Kucinic and Eileen Mrozek; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by his devoted wife of 65 years Eleanor R. Kucinic (nee Lemke); daughter Judith Bailey, his parents Joseph and Magdalena Kucinic; his siblings Stanko Kucinic, Matthew (Mary) Kucinic, Ann Kucinic, Edward Kucinic (in infancy), Mary (Henry) Chinderle and Edward Kucinic; also brother-in-law Alex Mrozek.

Michael was born in Joliet IL on May 5, 1915. He was a member of St. Mary Nativity Church, the Joannites, Joliet Seniors and numerous other civic and charitable organizations.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Mary Nativity Church or Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to MichaelA�??s numerous caregivers and his friends at Seasons Hospice.

Funeral services for Michael R. Kucinic will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 9:30 am from the funeral home to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00am. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at:
