Michael J. Hrubos

Michael J. Hrubos, age 90, at peace on Wednesday, April 30, 2014.

Michael is survived by his loving and caring brother, Joseph (Lorraine) Hrubos; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Betty (nee Horwath) Hrubos; parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Palovcak) Hrubos; siblings, Madeline Hrubos, Dorothy (Steve) Paucak, Agnes (Frank) Renchof and Richard (Rosemary) Hrubos.

Mike was a lifelong resident of Joliet and Parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet. He was a member of the Moran A.C. and the Senior Citizen Association. Mike retired from Chevron Refinery after many years of service. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, and playing cards and was an avid sports fan. Mike was a cherished brother and friend who will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's name to St. Joseph Church in Joliet or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

A celebration of Michael's life will begin on Monday, May 5, 2014 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road from 9:30-10:30 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.
