Micaela N. Ojeda (nee Nuncio), age 91, entered into eternal life on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home. Micaela was born on March 10, 1924 in Del Valle, Texas. She resided in Joliet for 64 years since 1951.
Micaela is survived by 11 loving children, Maria (Policarpio) Bazan, Jose (Mary) Godina, Socorro Flores, Paul (Bernice) Godina, Jesus (Stephanie) Godina, Fred (Caren) Godina, Rita (Francisco) Anguiano, Leroy (Rhonda) Ojeda, Edward Ojeda, Rose Vivian (Raul) Del Rio, and Bridget (Jesus) Ceballos; 41 loving grandchildren; 83 cherished great-grandchildren; and 14 cherished great-great-grandchildren; one dear sister, Antonia (the late Jesus) Ramirez; 4 loving sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Leopoldo B. Ojeda; loving children, Mario (Delia) Godina, William Oscar Ojeda, and Socorro Godina at infancy; 4 dear grandchildren; 2 cherished great-grandchildren; loving parents, Fernando and Piedad (nee Madrigal) Nuncio; 5 dear brothers; 1 dear sister-in-law.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of Micaela’s wonderful nurses and aids on Third Avenue at Sunny Hill Nursing Home whose care and love were deeply appreciated, as well as her beloved Dr. Kabbani.

A Celebration of Micaela’s life will begin on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:00 a.m. then driving in procession to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday, July 20, 2015 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet IL, 60435.
