Melissa Ann (Graziani) Vinson

Melissa Ann (Graziani) Vinson, age 38, passed into eternal life on August 18, 2018 with her loving family nearby.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Thomas; her children, Makayla, Emma and Tyler Vinson; her parents, John & Joanne Graziani; and brother, John.  Her extended family includes her aunt and uncles, Trisha Vitosky-Zelis, Joe (Yvonne) Vitosky, Carol (late Archie) Houle, Phyllis (Ed) Coleman, Lois (Bob) Berry, numerous cousins as well as many dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe & Anna Vitosky and Bruno & Norma Graziani and her aunt, Linda Vitosky in infancy.

Melissa was born on November 5, 1979 in Redwood City, California. She and Tom were high school sweethearts and were married on May 25, 2003 in Park Forest, Illinois.

Melissa was very social and active in her family’s lives.  She was her children’s biggest cheerleader for music, softball, Tae Kwon Do, school and life!  She was the chief cook and bottle washer as well as the head crafter of the Vinson 5 Workshops where her creativity showed thru!

Donations to her children’s education fund would be appreciated.

A celebration of Melissa’s life will begin on Thursday, August 23, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:15 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, IL.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
