Melanie J. Benson (nee Polochi), age 72, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, December 11, 2013.
Born in Joliet on September 8, 1941 to parents, Michael and Helen (nee Kaiser) Polochi.
Melanie is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Joseph Benson and three daughters, Melissa Benson, Monica Benson Jasper, and Merritt (Rick) Benson Franco. Loving grandmother to Isabelle and Ian Jasper and Owen Franco.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Melanie's name to the Will County Humane Society or the Guardian Angel Community Services.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Melanie's life will begin on Monday, December 16, 2013 with a visitation and gathering from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, 60435.
