Marylynn A. Mavec

Marylynn A. Mavec (nee Bruce) age 53, at rest on Friday, February 27, 2015 following a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Marylynn is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph; loving children, Samantha and Martin Mavec; loving parents, James W. Sr. and Sharon (nee Leiser) Bruce; dear brother, James W. "Bucky" (Kerri) Bruce Jr.; loving niece and nephew, Beth and Jimmy Bruce as well as numerous other loving nieces and nephews; cherished friends, Dawn Baumgartner and Deborah Massey; and numerous loving cousins, relatives, and friends.

Preceded in death by her cherished mother-in-law, Paula Mavec.

Marylynn loved her new found passion of grooming dogs following her career as a dental hygienist. She will be dearly missed by her dogs and her cat. Most of all Marylynn will be missed by her loving husband and children who she adored.

A Celebration of Marylynn's life will begin on Saturday, March 7, 2015 with a Memorial Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12:30 pm, Certified Celebrant Ken Plese officiating. Per Marylynn's wishes, cremation rights have been accorded.
