Mary Lou (Hibler) Erjavec

Mary Lou Erjavec (nee Hibler), age 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Lou is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald Erjavec; loving children, Gina (Tom Pellowe) Burke, Dean (Julie) Persico, Sue (Tony) Villanova; grandchildren, Mario, Anthony, Alexandra, Sarah, and Norah; nephews, Steven (Gayle), Michael and Anthony Marchio; and numerous cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Henrietta (nee Davia) Hibler; sister, Kathryn (Angelo) Marchio; and a sister-in-infancy.

Mary Lou was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who adored her grandchildren, never missing a family event.  Most recently she visited California, Colorado, Hawaii and Slovenia and enjoyed spending the winters in Siesta Key, FL.   Her family was the joy of her life.  She loved to cook and bake for family and friends.   She was a member of St Joseph Senior Club, graduate of St. Francis Academy, class of 1957. Mary Lou retired from Will County Health Department.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her oncologist Dr. Joseph Clark; nurses and staff at Cardinal Bernadine Cancer Center of Loyola Medical Hospital.

A very special thank you to Cynthia McCorkle at Joliet Area Community Hospice as well as Tracey Peraud, both of whom provided exceptional care.

She will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Lou's name to St Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet and Joliet Area Community Hospice.

A celebration of Mary Lou's life will begin on Friday, November 24, 2017 with a visitation from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at St Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am.  Private interment to follow.  There will be no services at the funeral home.
