Mary Beth (Papesh) Dodge

Mary Beth Dodge (nee Papesh), age 63, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 7, 2018 with her loved ones by her side.

Mary Beth is survived by her loving husband, David Dodge; two sons, Christopher D. Dodge and Matthew R. Dodge; one sister, Judith Papesh; and furry companion, Hossa.

Preceded in death by her parents, William and Mildred (nee Grohar) Papesh; many aunts and uncles.

Mary Beth graduated from University of Illinois in Champaign with a Sociology Degree. She went on to work for Amerifed for many years and later was employed at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in medical records. Mary Beth was an avid Chicago sports fan and enjoyed watching the Blackhawks, Cubs and Bears. She loved to travel, going to national parks, spending time on the beach, planting flowers around the house and in her many planters and decorating the home for all the holidays.  Mary Beth was a devoted wife and mother who will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Beth’s name to the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated.

A celebration of Mary Beth’s life will begin on Saturday, January 13, 2018 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service to be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Per Mary Beth’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
