MaryAnn Dickey

MaryAnn Dickey, age 55, of Joliet, IL, died May 22, 2022, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. She was born June 14, 1966, in Joliet, IL and had resided the entirety of her life in Joliet.

Surviving are her children, Constance Lindsey Dickey, Charles D. Dickey, Jr. (Claudia Gutierrez) and Jasmine Eileen Dickey (Daniel Grandziel); her grandson, Wesley Daniel Grandziel; siblings: Rosie (Jaime) Guajardo, Joseph (Rita) Salazar, David (Linda) Salazar, Richard Salazar and Daniel Salazar; her canine companions, Sandy & Rudy; sisters-in-law Linda Salazar, Rose Chavez, and Margaret Dickey; brother-in-law Frank (Sherri) Dickey. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by her late husband, Charles Dickey Sr.; mother and father, Gilbert Sr. and Connie Salazar; brothers, Gilbert Jr., Ernest, and Peter Salazar; sister-in-law, Dora Salazar; brother-in-law, Earl Novak.

MaryAnn was a first time grandmother and she loved spending quality time with her grandson Wesley. She had worked many years at Matty’s Grill in Shorewood, and she had many loyal customers whom she loved dearly.

MaryAnn was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Although her absence is hard to accept she will live in our hearts forever.

A celebration of MaryAnn's life will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Following services, cremation rites will be accorded.
