Mary C. Tait (nee Sallese), Age 88, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 2, 2014 with her loving family by her side.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna (Walter) Purdy; grandchildren, Wally (Joyce), Bill (Katie), Mark (Elena) Scully, B.J. (Stephanie) Scully; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Anthony (JoAnn) Sallese; son-in-law, Michael Scully; two nieces, Mary (Norm) Kramer and Margie Corp; nephew, Tony (Amie) Sallese.
Preceded in death by her husband, William; and daughter, Patricia Scully.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Sunny Hill Nursing Home Staff and The Joliet Area Community Hospice for their care and support.
A Celebration of Mary's life will begin on Thursday, March 6, 2014 with prayers in the funeral home chapel beginning at 9:15 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lockport for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Romeoville. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL 60435.
