Mary Skoff

Mary Skoff (nee Pluth) Age 94, passed away Saturday, March 25, at home. Mary was a lifelong resident of Joliet/Crest Hill area. Employed for many years at Rockwell-Standard Co. Member of the St. Genevieve Society, and the Rosarian Club of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survived by daughter, Lorraine Marcolina; sister, Helen (Richard-deceased) Johnson; three grandchildren, David, Jeffrey (Jean), Gary (Lea Rae) Marcolina; eight great grandchildren, Amy, Austin, Daniele, Lauren, Mason, Jennifer, Jena, Maggie; dear friend, Teresa Buffer; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, and great canine companion, Nitro. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward of 52 years; parents, John and Helen Pluth; sister, Frances Papesh; brothers, Albert, Joseph, Frank, and John Pluth. Special thanks to Dr. Ann Lawless, Donna Vittori RN, Margie Stanfel RN, Lori Senior RN, Deacon Dave Raskowski, longtime caregiver Wanda Milczarek, the entire staff of Remco Pharmacy, Interim Healthcare, and Joliet Area Community Hospice for all of their help throughout Mary's illness. Thanks also to all family and friends who visited Mary during her long-term illness. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
