Age 100 at rest August 4, 2006 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Mary was born in Joliet on May 5, 1905. Survived by daughter, Adelyn (late Andrew) Kwasigroch; son, James (Christine) Jurkas; grandchildren, Robert Kwasigroch, Richard (Patricia) Kwasigroch and Barbara (Richard) Gall, Tony (Lauren) Jurkas, Sandy (Dave) Maxwell, Randy (LeAnn) Jurkas, Lori (Don) Shanholtzer, Dennis (Ann) Jurkas and Douglas Jurkas; step-granddaughter, Phyllis (Carl) Hines; 17 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her 1st husband, Anthony Jurkas (1952); 2nd husband, William Rasmussen (1980); son, Robert Jurkas (1995), great-grandson, Tony Jurkas, Jr. (2006); two sisters, Anna Ivnik, Rose Brennan; one brother, Joseph Zulich; niece, Eleanor Kramerich; and parents, Joseph and Augusta (nee Troj) Zulich. The family of Mary Rasmussen would like to thank Joliet Area Community Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
