Mary retired from Western Electric after over 30 years of service. She was a parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church in Joliet. Mary proudly took the roll as the matriarch of the family. Her greatest joy came with caring for her children, grandchildren and extended family. She carried herself with class and dignity but would never hesitate to speak her mind, things were seen clearly through her eyes, right is right and wrong was wrong.
Her meek beginning from working on the farm and picking cotton paved the road for her migration to Illinois. This work ethic held true as her and her husband worked side by side attaining their apartment buildings acquiring wealth and happiness on their journey. Her deep roots of hard work and long days set the right example for her entire family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name to an organization of your choice would be appreciated.
