Mary E. Krasovec (nee Jenco) of Waukegan, age 94, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 16, 2018.
Mary is survived by her sister, Jean (the late Ray) Page; sisters-in-law, Janis Jencon and Barbara Jenco; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Anton C. Krasovec (2009); parents, Andrew and Mary Jenco; siblings, Andrew Jenco, Margaret (Leo) Bordeaux, Lawrence Jenco, Joseph Jencon, Stephen (Adeline) Jenco and Lorraine (Larry) Pomykala-Brown.
Mary was employed by Abbott Lab for 37 years. She was a member of the Women of The Moose Chapter #792. Mary was a fabulous woman who lived her life to the fullest. She was physically able to make every minute of her 94 years count and was kayaking with her family just two years ago. She found great joy in traveling, visiting all 50 states and 23 different countries. Mary was a fiercely strong and fearlessly independent woman who will be truly missed.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mary’s niece, Cheryl Colson and great-niece, Tammy Colson for the wonderful care they have provided to her.
In lieu of flowers, donation in Mary’s name to Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St Dismas Church, 2600 Sunset Ave, Waukegan, IL 60087 would be appreciated.
A celebration of Mary’s life will begin on Friday, August 24, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
