Mary K. Guthrie-Boyer (nee Nyc), age 63, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2018.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Craig Boyer; children, Perry, Robert (Heather) Guthrie; step-children, Constance (Tom) Tongue, Rebecca (Nathan) Swarthout, Nicholas Boyer, and Joshua Boyer; grandchildren, Alysha, Lynn and Emalee Guthrie, Michael Burgett, eight step-grandchildren, and 2 step great-grandchildren; and sister, Theresa (John) Frattini. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by her; parents, Edward and Emma (nee Kennedy) Nyc, nephew John E. Frattini, and grandchildren, Zachary and Juliana.
Mary was born in Chicago, IL and a lifelong resident of Joliet. She was a graduate of Joliet East High School, class of 1972. She was a school bus driver for over 35 years. Mary was a big Elvis fan, an avid romance novel reader, a great wife, loving mother and grandmother.
Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Mary’s life will begin on Friday, March 2, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Mary Magdalene Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Obituary and Tribute Wall for Mary K.
