Mary Loretta Gates
November 26, 1923 — May 23, 2014
Mary Loretta Gates (nee Peterson), age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2014 with her loving family by her side.
Mary in survived by her beloved children, John L. Gates and Mary Lou (Bob Mahalik) Gates-Mahalik.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, John Gates Jr.
Mary enjoyed cooking and loved her pet cats. She will be dearly missed.
Donations in Mary's name to the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Presence St. Joseph Hospice for their brief but wonderful care.
Funeral services for Mary were held privately. Per Mary's wishes cremation rites were accorded. She is now resting with her husband at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
