Mary C. (Carugati) Fazio

Mary C. Fazio (nee Carugati), age 91, entered into Eternal Life on Thursday, June 2, 2016 with her family by her side.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Roy, Donald, Natale (Lisa), and Mary Jo Fazio; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her husband Natale Fazio (2013); and her son, Michael Fazio.

Mary was a lifelong parishioner of the Church of St. Anthony and was very involved in the CCW and other church activities. She was an active member of the Joliet Moose Lodge #300. Mary was always the life of the party, lighting up a room with her contagious smile and putting others before herself. She devoted her life to her family and was a loving wife, a cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary will be truly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

A celebration of Mary’s life will begin on Thursday, June 9, 2016 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to The Church of St. Anthony in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood where Mary will be laid to rest with her beloved husband. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
