Age 90, died Monday, May 24 at his late residence with his family by his side.

Survived by his wife Josephine (nee Zelko); his daughters Marty Jo (David) McGinnis and Carol Jean (Ronald) Terlep; a son, John M. (Cheryl) Spanich; grandchildren Patrick McGinnis, Kelly Brozovich, Julie Feeney, Douglas Terlep, and Sara, Erika and Steven Spanich; 8 great-grandchildren; his sisters Catherine (late Joseph) Kovach, and Mary L. (late Robert) Meyer; as well as sisters-in-law Dolores (late Michael) Frankovich and Lillian (late Louis) Korilko and a brother-in-law John (Barbara), and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents, Stephen and Matilda (nee Sakulich) Spanich, and one sister Rose (late Ben) Midlock.

Hooksey retired from Allen Bottling Company after many years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post #1080, having served in the Army Air Corps in WW II. Also, he was a founding member of the Young American"s Club.

For those wishing to leave lasting memorials, the family requests that you please consider donations to St. Mary Nativity Church or the Joliet Area Community Hospice.

A Celebration of Martin"s life will be held on Saturday with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM, then in procession to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Interment at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3- 7 PM
