Martin Martello Sr.

Martin Martello Sr., age 80, at rest on Monday, December 21, 2015 with his loving family by his side.

Martin is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty (nee Lewandowski); children, Donna (John) Luna, Francine (Mike) Ulm, Steve (Diane) Martello, Martin (Jennifer) Martello, Jeffrey (Lisa) Martello and Dee Martello; grandchildren, Brittany Luna, Chloe Martello, Jodi, Michael and Thomas Ulm, Eileen, Teddy, William and Charlie Martello, Candice and Brian Martello, Matthew and Annie Martello, Kyle, Rachel and Timothy Martello; great-grandson, Donnie; brother, Carl (Joanne) Martello; daughter-in-law, Natalie (the late Gary) Martello; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his children, Donald and Gary Martello; parents, Carl and Jessie (nee Fink) Martello; siblings, Phil Martello, Tonietta (Ron) Sundin, Joseph (Nina) Martello, Louella Byrnes.

Martin enjoyed fishing, bowling and working part time at the race track. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Black Hawks fan as well as a NASCAR Fan. He also loved spending time with his family, camping and playing cards. He was a top notch mechanic who will be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Martin’s life will begin on Monday, December 28, 2015 with a visitation at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1910 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60435 from 9-11 a.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
