Martin R. Carroll, age 71 passed away peacefully at Eden Vista Rock Run MC under care of Lightways Hospice after a long battle with Alzheimer's on Friday, December 27,2024. The family would like to send their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Eden Vista Rock Run MC and Lightways Hospice in Joliet for their excellent care. Born on December 30, 1952, Martin was a lifelong resident of Joliet attending St. Patrick Grade School & Joliet Township High School Central. He was a machinist for 35 years at the former Lange Manufacturing. He enjoyed playing golf especially at all the Joliet golf courses, hiking, fishing, traveling and was an avid Chicago sports fan following the White Sox & Bears. He enjoyed following and watching all the PGA events.
Proceeded in death by his parents Howard J. & Margaret L. Carroll. Siblings James P. Carroll, Michael E. Carroll, Thomas H. Carroll & Jeanne M. Daniels (Gary).
Survived by Joseph J. Carroll (Lynn) Joliet; Steven D. Carroll (Ouida) Baton Rouge LA; Marie M. Fields (Rickey) Springdale AR; and Sister-in-law Patti Carroll Prescott AZ. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces /nephews and cousins. Aunt Sr. Dorothy Doyle RGS. Chesterfield, MO.
