Martha Brish
May 1, 1930 — February 26, 2013
Martha Brish (nee Bjekich), age 82, born in Joliet and a lifelong resident, at rest on February 26, 2013. Survived by her brother, Marco (the late Lorraine) Bjekich and also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Brish; her sister, Helen (Dorn) Johnston, Jr. and Genevieve Tesla; brothers, George Tesla and Alex Tesla.
The family would like extend a special thank you to MarthaA�??s caregiver, Dorothy Scott and also to Joliet Area Community Hospice for their excellent care.
A Celebration of MarthaA�??s life will begin on Friday, March 1, 2013 with family and friends meeting at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 300 Stryker Avenue, Joliet, IL for a funeral service to begin at 10:00 am. Interment private at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Pomen service at 6:30 pm at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life.
