Mark G. Russ, 41, of Crest Hill, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Thursday evening, July 7, 2011.
Survived by his loving parents Janet (nee Benedick) and Gerald Russ; two brothers, Brian Russ and Todd (Leona) Russ; uncles and aunts, Robert (JoAnne) Benedick and John (Geradette) Russ; cousins, Heather, Jeff (Jenn) Benedick, John and Scott Russ.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Marcella (nee McCarney) and Theodore Benedick, and Barbara (nee Dragovan) and John Russ, and numerous great aunts and uncles.
Mark was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local #150. He was employed by Russ and Company. He also worked for the Milwaukee Brewers as an audio and camera engineer for 8 years. Mark loved model trains and was a great sports enthusiast, most especially for baseball, football and basketball.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, July 12, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Everyone is invited to meet at St. Ambrose Church on Wednesday morning for a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
