Mark W. Koser Age 59. At rest Monday, January 30, 2006 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Kathryn M. (nee Posega) Koser. Loving father of Kathy (Joel) Ackeret, Susan (Matthew) Leitgeb, Mark (Karen) Koser, Kristyn (Todd) Johnson, Shauna, Shane, Michael, Keri and Ben Koser. Dearest grandfather of Alyssa Koser, Brandon Johnson and Joshua Koser; three sisters, Carol (George) Rogina, Donna (John) Cepon; and half sister, Janet (Gale) Brick. Mother-in-law, Kathryn (late Albert) Posega. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Jeanette J. (nee Kosicek) Koser; and a granddaughter, Kaylee Vertin. Mark was born in Joliet and was a lifelong area resident. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army while stationed in Korea. Formerly employed by U.S. Steel in Joliet until it closed. In lieu of flowers, donations in accordance to the wishes of the family would be appreciated. Mark was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a devoted Chicago White Sox fan.
