Mark A. Cortez, age 41, lifelong resident of Ridgewood, IL passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2016.
Mark is survived by his father, Epifanio Cortez; siblings, Anita (Rita) Casillas, Martin (Diana) Casillas of Palaka, FL, Paco (Cindy) Casillas and Rachel (Mike) Breen; longtime partner, Stephanie Finefield; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Preceded in death by his mother, Betty Cortez; brother, Rolando Casillas; and paternal and maternal grandparents.
Mark had a strong passion for music. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Mark enjoyed wrestling and playing baseball during his youth. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Mark’s life will begin on Friday, September 23, 2016 with a memorial visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cremation rites have been respectfully accorded.
