Marjorie L. Konc (nee Mitchell), age 87, passed away peacefully Tuesday May 22, 2012 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis E. Konc (1988); a daughter, Maria L. Matesevac; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Konc, Andrew Konc, and Lisa Webb; 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Survived by her loving children; Donna (James) Schumann, Richard "Sonny" (Peggy Lynn) Konc, Louis (Carol) Konc, Annette (Stephen) Vertin, and John (Debbie) Konc; 25 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jody Wawczak and Mary Jane Luck, a sister-in-law, Mary Vancina. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
Marjorie was born in Morris, and resided in Rockdale for most of her life. She retired from Weiboldt's Department Store. Marjorie was a member of American Legion Post #1080 Ladies Auxiliary, and president of the Rockdale Grade School Band Parents Association.

Funeral services for Marjorie L. Konc will be Friday May 25, 2012. at St. Joseph's Church in Rockdale where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment to St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at St. Joseph Church.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. All services will be held at St. Joseph Church in Rockdale.
