Mario Custodio Yadao, Sr.
Age 67 of Chicago, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Community First Medical Center in Chicago.
Born April 12, 1953, in Sinait Ilocos Sur, Philippines, Mario was the son of Ciriaco and Lucia Yadao.
He married Nilda Enate on July 17th, 1990 and together they made a home and raised their family.
Mario was an avid gardener, seasoned fisherman and an accomplished traveler. He deeply enjoyed family trips and ensured his family vacationed every summer. Mario also had a profound love for animals, especially his 4 dogs Scruffy, Angelo, Lucky and Tobi. He cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and routinely hosted family gatherings. Mario was known for his charming sense of humor, easy going personality and magnanimous heart.
He is survived by his five children: Mercy, Marivic, Marla, Marnil and Mario Jr. and 11 grandchildren: Terrell, Malarie, Mariel, Jake, Joshua, Janelle, Melanie, Marven, Miya, Gavin and Sophia.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing practices are required. A capacity of 25 guests may be accommodated at a time for the visitation.
A private funeral service will be held and Mario will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
