Marilyn J. Roberson (nee Dudek), age 65, passed away on Thursday August 15, 2012 in Calera, Alabama.

She is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Kermit; her sisters, Marci Kreisberg of Birmingham, Al, Harriet A�??PinkyA�?i�� Beach of Marble Head, MA and Melanie (Jerred) Johnson of Plainfield, IL; brother and sister-in-law Ken and Janet Roberson of Gainesville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Mike Lewis of Calera, AL; brother-in-law Daniel Kobe of Joliet, IL; step-children Steve (Sandy), Mike (Candice) Roberson and Jennifer (Tim) Nabors and nieces Lisa Uzzle of Marion, IL, Laura (Ken) Montague of CA, Michele (Marty) Kreisberg Palmer of Sioux City, IA, Amy (Joseph) DiSantis of Joliet, IL, Kristin Johnson of Plainfield, IL and nephews, Dr. Mark (Chinh) Kreisberg of Helena, MT, David Kreisberg of Charlotte, NC and Dr. John Kreisberg of Atlanta, GA, Harry and Christopher Beach of Marble Head, MA; step-grand and great- grandchildren, and numerous cousins.

Born in Joliet, IL she was preceded in death by her first husband Larry Martin of Scottsdale, AZ, her mother Marie L. Dudek, father Stanley F. Dudek, sister Peggy (Joseph) Lacy, sister Elizabeth (Daniel) Kobe and brother Joseph Dudek at infancy.

She retired as a flight attendant from America West Airlines, a career she enjoyed but she especially cared about people and was genuinely interested in their lives and in doing little acts of kindness that elevated their spirits. She made friends easily and everyone who knew her couldnA�??t help but love her. She was every niece and nephewA�??s A�??favorite AuntieA�?i��. Her love of good food is legendary as well as her devotion to A�??Miss PiggyA�?i�� her cat. God truly has another angel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in MarilynA�??s name to your local animal shelter would surely make her smile and would be appreciated.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held. Date to be announced.
