Marilyn ""Lynn"" Hock, (nee Carey), age 79, of Joliet, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years John G. Hock; her children John (Ann) Hock, Nancy (Jim) Mueller, Carey (Margaret) Hock, Betsy Hock, Deborah (Dr. Steve) Prinz and David (Malissa) Hock; her grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer), and John (Crystan) Hock, Lisa Mueller, Jeff (Jessica) Mueller, David Hock, Ryan, Scott and Kyle Prinz, and Mieke and Baby Boy Hock.
Lynn was preceded in death by her mother and father, Harold ""Max"" and Norma Carey, and her brother Reverend Robert H. Carey.
Born in Joliet, she attended St. Patrick"s Grade School, and was currently on the planning committee for her grade school reunion on May 21, 2011. She attended her first years of high school in Ft. Lauderdale, then graduated from Joliet Township High School. Lynn and John moved to Orlando, FL in 1990 where she worked in the Neverland Club at Disney World. She loved her work and her ""kids"" there, and received the ""Partners in Excellence"" Award for her dedicated work. They returned to Joliet in 1998. Lynn loved life, playing cards, and watching movies with her friends Ann ""Sis"" Troha and Mary Ann Hurstik.
A Celebration of Lynn"s Life will held on Monday, April 18 at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow immediately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 ""A�?? 8 PM, and on Monday morning from 10 AM until the time of service at:
