Marilyn Jean Formenti

Marilyn Jean Formenti, born on August 23, 1935, in Karnak, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 8 2024. Beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, Marilyn was known for her warmth, creativity, and devotion to her family.

Marilyn graduated from Karnak High School, where she developed a lifelong passion for crafting. She found immense joy in sewing and crocheting, skills that she shared generously with family and friends. Marilyn's hands were often busy creating beautiful pieces.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Kevin (Laurie) Thrasher; her granddaughter, Brittany (Jason) Wagner; her brother, Deon (Ruth) Peck; and numerous nieces and nephews who benefited from her love and guidance.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Beulah (nee Helmig) and William Peck; her siblings, Verda Peck, Virgil (Diana) Peck, Bobby (Mary) Peck, and Murrie (Isabella) Peck; as well as her grandson, Daniel Bandosz.

Marilyn Jean Formenti will be remembered for her kind spirit, creative talents, and the unwavering love she had for her family, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Per Marilyn’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
