At rest on Saturday, March 14, 2009 surrounded by her loving family.
Survived by children, Patricia (Frank) Kurtz, Karen (George) Herman and Joseph (Carmen) Spillie; grandson, Joseph (Marta) Spillie; survived by numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; also survived by her special friend, Cindy Ledesma; and special companion, Peewee.
Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Spillie; parents, Frank and Amalia Pucel; sister, Louise (late Walter) Doszak; brother, Frank (in infancy) Pucel.
Marie was a devout Catholic and lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish in Joliet. She continuously gave of herself to her family. Marie was an avid gardener.
The family would like to thank all the people involved at Silver Cross Hospital, Sunny Hill Nursing Home, and Joliet Area Community Hospice for their wonderful care and treatment during her stay.
From where services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 9:30 AM to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be today, Monday, March 16th from 2-4 and 5-7 PM.
