Con nuestros corazones rotos y profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Maria Ricarda Zamudio a la edad de 76, esposa amorosa, madre, abuela y amiga de todas esas personas con las que ella convivo. “Rica”, como muchos la conocían, falleció el 8 de octubre del 2021 en su casa rodeada de su amado esposo, hijas y nietas a su lado.

Nacida en Cuamio, Michoacan MX, hija de Sra. Crescencia y Sr. Evaristo. Maria Ricarda conoció al amor de su vida Francisco en México y procedió a formar su hogar y procrear su maravillosa vida y familia en la ciudad Joliet, IL. EU. Su mayor pasión era proveer para su familia y amistades. Ella era una católica muy devota en especial el Santo Niño de Cuamio y Virgin de Guadalupe. Rica tenía una gran pasión por la jardinería, disfrutaba cocinar, y ayudar a todos.  Los placeres más simples de la vida le dieron gran alegría a Ricarda. Su agradable amabilidad era contagiosa para todos los que la conocían. A pesar de todas las batallas, mostró valentía al enfrentar los desafíos de la vida con una sonrisa y se mantuvo fuerte hasta el final. Sus seres queridos continuarán honrando su legado y  viviendo su vida al máximo.


Le sobrevive su esposo Francisco, sus hijas Elizabeth, Emma, María, Abigail, Yesenia, sus hijos Rodolfo y Rubén. Junto a sus cariñosos nietos; Aleen, Jasmin, Maritza, Eduardo, Gerardo, Melanie, Maximillian, Giovanni, Jaiden, Ariana, Daisy, Joshua, Emily, Bianka, Andres, hermana Celestina, y varias sobrinas.

Procediendo en fallecimiento a sus padres Sra. Crescencia y Sr. Evaristo, hermano Atanacio y sus suegros Petra & Angel.

Una celebración de la vida de Maria Ricarda comenzará el Martes 12 de Octubre de 2021 con velación conmemorativa en Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL a partir de las 3:00 p.m. hasta las 9:00 p.m. se llevará a cabo una oración en la funeraria. La misa de cristiana sepultura se llevará a cabo a las 11:00 a.m. el Miércoles 13 Octubre de 2021 en la iglesia católica Mt. Carmelo 205 E Jackson St., Joliet, IL. enseguida se llevará a  Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, para dar Cristiana sepultura a el cuerpo de la Sra. Maria Ricarda.

With immense heartbreak and profound sadness we announce the passing of Maria Ricarda Zamudio at age 76, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched. “Rica”, as known by many, passed away peacefully October 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving husband, daughters, and granddaughters at her side.

Born in Cuamio, Michoacan MX, to her parents Crescencia & Evaristo.  Maria Ricarda met the love of her life Francisco in Mexico and proceeded to form a wonderful life and family in Joliet, IL. (USA).  Her greatest passion was providing for her family and friends. She was a very devoted catholic in particular worshipping Santo Nino de Cuamio and Virgen De Guadalupe. Rica had a great passion for gardening, cooking, and helping others. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Ricarda.  Her pleasant extroverted personality was contagious to everyone she met.  Despite all the battles she encountered she showed courage in facing life challenges with a smile and stayed strong until the end.  Her  loved ones will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Survived by her husband Francisco, daughters Elizabeth, Emma, Maria, Abigail, Yesenia, son’s Rodolfo, and Ruben. Along with her affectionate grandchildren; Aleen, Jasmin, Maritza, Eduardo, Gerardo, Melanie, Maximillian, Giovanni, Jaiden, Ariana, Daisy, Joshua, Emily, Bianka, Andres, sister Celestina and numerous nieces.

Preceded in death by her parents Crescencia and Evaristo, brother Atanacio and in-laws Petra & Angel.

A celebration of Maria Ricarda’s life will begin on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 with a memorial visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. a prayer will be held at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 205 E Jackson St., Joliet, IL. Graveside Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, where Maria Ricarda will be laid to rest.
