Margarita Leon, age 73, was called home to be reunited with the love of her life and her beloved Paloma on October 12, 2020.
She is survived by her sons, Jorge (Amanda) Leon Jr. and Luis (Cinnamon) Leon; cherished grandchildren, Canela Leon, Tomas Leon, and Marco Leon; special nephew Jose Juan Alcaraz; beloved nieces, Carla Pedraza and Alejandra Pedraza; sisters, Maria Julieta Alcaraz and Angelita Pedraza; and numerous nieces and nephews residing in Mexico.
Margarita is preceded in death by her loving husband Jorge Leon Sr.; daughter Maria Paloma; her parents, Agustin Alcaraz and Maria De Los Angeles (née Juarez); and two infant sisters.
Margarita was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and her pride and joy. She will be remembered for her strong faith in God and for being a devout Catholic. She was also a fantastic cook. She will also be happily remembered for her fondness of shopping. She will be deeply missed for her selflessness, willingness to lend a helping hand, and her desire to feed the world. Her tamales will also be dearly missed.
Services for Margarita will begin at Tezak Funeral Home on Thursday, October 15, 2020 with a visitation being held from 8:30 am until 9:30 am, then traveling in procession to Saint Raymond’s Cathedral for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Margarita will be laid to rest at Saint John’s Cemetery on Ruby Street.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, maximum occupancy at the funeral home and church is 50 guests. Face masks required.
