""Tia"" (nee Perez)
Age 89. Of Joliet passed away peacefully with her family by her side on, Saturday August 4, 2007.
She was born in Joliet June 9, 1918 along with a twin sister Maria Perez, who passed in infancy, to the late Epigmeno and Sabina Perez (nee Orozco). Tia relocated to Mexico in 1924 at the age of 6 where she lived until her return to Joliet in 1953. She was employed by Hart Schaffer Marx as a Seamstress until 1964.
Tia was a devoted wife to the late Julian Cornejo whom she was married to until his passing in 2002.
Tia was a loving mother figure to her many nephews and nieces whom she lived for. She will be missed but will remain in our hearts, thoughts and prayers always.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Julian Cornejo; parents, Epigmeino and Sabina Perez (nee Orozco); Sister Maria Petra Zavala; brothers, Moises and Arturo Perez.
Survived by her two sisters, Beatriz Perez and Hope P. (Donato) Lopez; two brothers, Manuel (Petra) and Joel Perez of CA.
From where services will be held Wednesday August 8, 2007 at 9:30 am to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation and Video Tribute Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
