Margaret J. Zobel

Margaret J. Zobel “Marge”, age 98, passed away in her home on April 11^th, 2024 with her daughters by her side. She was born on February 16^th, 1926 in Joliet, the daughter of John and Katherine Dragovan (nee Videtich). She attended Saint Joseph School and Joliet Township High School. She was a lifelong parishioner of Saint Joseph Church in Joliet and a dedicated member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

On May 29^th, 1948, Marge married her soulmate Robert “Bob” Zobel. The pair shared seventy-two years together until his passing in 2020.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, her sisters Fran (Jesse) Hancock, Mayme (Marco) Bozicevich, Theresa (Nick) Esler, her brothers Frank and Joseph (Dorothy), as well as John and Louis in infancy.

She is survived by her daughters Nancy (the late George) Radakovich and Vicki (Mike) Archambeault, her grandchildren Jeff (Andrea) Archambeault, Karen (Tony) Madsen, and great granddaughters Amelia and Hannah Madsen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would also like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Marge’s caregivers Vangie, Judy, Lina and Ethel.

Marge was fiercely devoted to her family, whom she nurtured throughout her life with boundless love. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of Marge’s life will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday April 16^th, 2024 at St. Joseph Church, 416 N. Chicago St. Joliet, IL. There will be a brief visitation period at St. Joseph Church from 9:30 AM until the beginning of the 10:30 AM mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in her name be made to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet or to Saint Joseph Church in Joliet.
