Margaret E. Vitanovec (nee Gerencher)

Age 88 at Rest Tuesday Nov. 14, 2006 at Provena St. Jospeh Medical Center. Loving Mother of Marilyn (Robert) Dolnak, John (Kathleen), Grandmother of Dr. Douglas Robert, Thomas John and Deborah Marilyn Dolnak; John (Jack), Eva Grace and Gregory William Vitanovec. Also survived by one brother Joseph (the late Martha) Gerencher and loving sister-in-law Theresa Gerencher and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Elizabeth Gerencher, her husband of 62 years John J., brothers Anthony (the late Mary) and William (Theresa) Gerencher.

Margaret was born in Joliet and was a life long resident. Known as Marge to her many friends, she worked for much of her life in various manufacturing plants. A devoted member of both the St. Stephans and St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Womans' Clubs. Marge was the regular Sunday organist and popular vocal soloist at St Stephens for many years. She loved ethnic Hungarian cooking and baking for family, friends and charities. Loved music, dancing, gardening and traveling. An active resident of Loyalton of Joliet for 4 years. Devoted Bulls, Bears and White Sox Fan.

Marge was loved by all.
