Margaret A. Plankar (nee Dolinshek) Age 84. At rest Sunday, October 16, 2005 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving mother of Peggy (Ed) Periu, and Amy (Michael) Gahan; daughter-in-law, Carol (late William P.) Plankar. Dearest grandmother to Julie (Pete) McMahon, Eric Periu, Megan Magee, Molly Gahan, Lauren and Shannon Plankar, Sarah (Nathan) Brown, David (Jamie) Gahan and Mike Gahan; great-grandchildren, Madison Bruno, Hannah and Jacob Gahan; three sisters Dorothy (Tony) Jerisha, Nancy (Ray) Wagner, Nan (Ray) Horvatin; one brother, Ed (Shirley) Dolinshek; one brother-in-law, Charles ""Mickey"" (late Jeanne) Pierson. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded by her husband, William C. Plankar (1977); one son, William P. ""Billy"" Plankar (1985); her parents, Paul and Mary (nee Piskur) Plankar; two sisters, Mayme (George) Hirsch and Jeanne Pierson. Margaret was born in Joliet, and was a lifelong resident. Retired from Al Baskin/Mark Shale after 20 years of service. Member of St. Genevieve Society 108, Cantigny Post Ladies Auxillary #367, St. Joseph Altar & Rosary Society, Senior Parishioners. Marge was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed the Cubs, but loved nothing more than seeing her grandchildren play sports. She was a prayerful woman with a devotion to the green scapular, she lived for her family and will be dearly missed by all.
