Margaret M. Gonda (nee Kezele), age 85, entered eternal life peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 comforted by her loving family.
Marge is survived by her loving children, Donna (Michael) Botts, Robert (Joanne) Gonda, Daniel (Sandy) Gonda and Sharon (Patrick) McDonald; grandchildren, Erin, Timothy, and Christine Botts, James( Megan) Gonda, Elizabeth (Tom) Nealis, and Jonathan (Brette) Gonda, Donna, Victoria and Brieanna Gonda; great-grandchildren, Tobin, Jonah, Jace and Piper Gonda, Levi, Joshua, and Kai Blumenstock; one brother, Ray (the late Helen) Kezele. Numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Matthew Gonda; daughter in infancy Virginia; parents, Michael and Barbara (nee Racki) Kezele-Mahalovich; siblings, Mary (Ray) Biernat, Molly (Gene) Stogis, Delores (Joe) Wrona, Virginia, Helen, Richard, Mike, and Walter Kezele.
Marge was a dedicated and faithful parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill. She was very active in her beloved parish and volunteered much of her time to assist with anything she could. Marge loved working in the yard and took pride in its appearance. Marge's most important asset in life was her family and she loved to spend time with all of them. Marge's motto was "Laughter is the best medicine."
In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's name to St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
A celebration of Margaret's life will begin on Saturday, February 1, 2014 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery in Crest Hill. Visitation will be on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL from 3-9 p.m.
