Age, 93, entered eternal life on Saturday, June 6, 2015. She was born March 2, 1922 in Joliet.
Preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gasperich Sr.; son, Frank Gasperich Jr.; brothers, Joseph A. and Frank Cohil Jr.; and her parents, Frank and Mary A. Cohil.
Margaret is survived by her nieces and nephews; godchild, Mary Petrella; her husband's nieces and nephews including Jayne Norton, Beverly Turlep and Pam Hareaugh; Sister Albert Marie Papesh; and many friends including Fran Hewlett (Sparky).
Margaret was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet. She was a member and officer in many organizations during her lifetime including St. Joseph Seniors, St. Joseph Altar and Rosary Society, KSKJ St. Genevieve Lodge 108, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Cantigny 367, American Legion Auxiliary Post 1080, Rivals Ladies Auxiliary, and Will County Senior Citizens Association. She was also a Gold Star Mother of both Cantigny 367 and Post 1080 Auxiliaries.
In lieu of flowers donations may made to be used according to the family's wishes.
A Celebration of Margaret's life will begin on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet. Slovenian Union of American Prayer Service at 10:50 a.m. Interment of cremated remains to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be NO VISITATION OR SERVICES HELD AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
