Margaret Ann Attaway

Margaret Ann Attaway, 92, passed away at Senior Star Memory Care in Romeoville,IL., on Thursday, December 30, 2021.

Survived by her loving daugthers, Margaret Rose (Bradley) Gilbert and Patricia Ann (Donald) Kroesch; son-in-law, Lesley Sanders; sister, Bernadine (George) Price; sister-in-law, Delores (Robert) Colstock; grandchildren, James (Allison) Kroesch, Jeffrey (Veronica) Kroesch, Crystal Gilbert, Shannon Marquardt, Tana (Jack) Brylewski, Alisa (Dan) Costion; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years Alvin Attaway, her parents, Frank and Anna (Knaus) Mlakar; her daughter, Diane Sanders; brothers, Frank (Irma) Mlakar, John J. (Mary) Mlakar, James (Donna) Mlakar; and sister, Marian (John) Bubica; her dear mother-in-law Elsie Attaway, and sisters-in-law: Bernice (Louis) Gaefke,, Marge (William) Cryer, Betty (Howard) Thomas, and Norma (Thomas) Grant.

Per Margaret’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation.

A private interment will be held at a later date in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. A Celebration of Life will be held for family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made as gifts in Margaret’s memory to Lightways Hospice or Senior Star Memory Care Unit.
