Age 55. Passed away Monday April 16, 2012 at her residence with her family and friends by her side after a courageous 3 year battle with Fallopian Tube cancer. A Joliet resident since 1994 formerly from Coal City. Born in Morris, IL July 25, 1956 to the late Albert and Peggy Agamy. Graduate of Coal City High School (1974), JJC (1990) and College of St. Francis (1993). She retired August 1, 2008 from Caterpillar, Inc. after 34 years of dedicated service. Also employed as a Realtor for JAW Realty and Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell. She was a Chicago sports fan as well as an avid golfer and bowler.

Survived by her life partner of 14 years, Marlene VanKuiken (Joliet), her mother Peggy Agamy (Elwood), two brothers James (Coal City) and Ronald (Braidwood), nieces and nephews, Jacob, Amanda, Ashli, Jordan, Alan, Andy, and Alina. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Preceded in death by her father, Albert (1985), Maternal grandparents, Andrew and Mary Bellis, and Paternal grandparents, Abraham and Helen Agamy.

The family would like to extend their appreciation for the care and compassion she received from Dr. Pundaleeka and his entire staff at Joliet Oncology and Hematology Associates.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Joliet Area Community Hospice.

A memorial service for Marcia A. Agamy will be held Saturday April 21, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Fr. Matt Humm officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. As per MarciaA�??s request cremation rites have been accorded and Interment will be private.
