Marcella M. (Kunke) Karcz, age 95, passed away November 4, 2014, at Joliet Area Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. Survived by four children, Donald (late Jessica) Karcz, Dan (Eva) Karcz, Theresa (Gary) Pauson and Elaine (late Michael) Fietterer; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-children; one sister, Arlene (John) Kapella; one sister-in-law, Carol Kunke; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband, Chester; her parents, Walter and Helen Kunke; two brothers, Walter and Victor (late Dorothy); one sister, Florence (late Vitus) Zupancic; seven sisters-inlaw; five brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Born in Rockdale, a lifelong resident of Joliet. One of the founding members of St. Mary Magdalene Church, Joliet. Former member of St. Mary Magdalene CCW and adult choir. Member of St. Paul Paulites and St. Joseph Senior Group. She was a Will County Election Judge, past employee of Joliet Township High School District 204. A special thank-you to Seniors Helping Seniors, the Staff at St. Joseph's ER. 7 West and the Joliet Area Community Hospice. Donations to Joliet Area Hospice would be appreciated. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. from Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd. to St. Paul Catholic Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial.
