Age 74, passed away peacefully after a long illness. Beloved wife of the late Joseph N. Egizio; dear mother of LuAnn (John) Peters, Debbie (Bill) Strahanoski, Beth (Brad) Anderson and Joe (Jill) Egizio. Also survived by her nine grandchildren, Sara and Ryan Peters, Lauren and Joe Strahanoski, Morgan and McKenna Anderson, Joie Egizio and Janae and Jenna Thomas. A brother John (Bernita) DeSalvo and sister Carm Salvatore and several nieces and nephews survive.
Preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances (Sylvester) DeSalvo; two brothers, William and Raymond; and four sisters, Lucille and Mary DeSalvo, Rose Krochmal and Anne Chierigatti.
A member of the Church of St. Anthony, and a member of the St. Anthony's CCW and Catholic Women's League. Mae worked as a LPN for 13 years in the Will and DuPage County area. She had a love for her children and grandchildren and liked to attend all family parties.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Friends of Sunny Hill and Easter Seals Joliet Region will be appreciated.
Funeral services for Mae G. Egizio will be at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road Joliet, IL., on Wednesday July 25, 2007, at 9:30am, to the Church of St. Anthony for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am; Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday July 24, 2007 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
