Madonna A. Kestel (nee Nurczyk)
Age 57, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with her loving family at her side.
Survived by her husband of 34 years, Ken, of Manhattan; her daughter, Melissa, of Chicago; her son, Brian, of Manhattan; her sister, Karla Nurczyk, of Joliet; and her sister, Mary Beth (Rick) Goolsby, of Elwood. Aunts, uncles, a niece, nephew, and cousins survive.
Preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Frances (Smajd) Nurczyk and her brother, Michael Nurczyk.
Member of St. Jude"s Parish, New Lenox.
Madonna was an endlessly loving, strong, and compassionate individual. Her family was the ultimate love of her life, and her life was entirely dedicated to family ""A�?? those immediate, as well as all of humanity. She worked tirelessly for 36 years as a registered nurse at Silver Cross Hospital and was very much respected by others for always putting patients first. Her family, in addition to countless others, will miss her immensely.
From where services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 9:45 AM to St. Jude"s Catholic Church in New Lenox for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Manhattan. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 25, 2009 from 1-4 and 5-7 PM.
