Lynn R. (Uremovic) Snyder
January 6, 1954 — October 2, 2016
Lynn R. Snyder (nee Uremovic), age 62, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene and her parents, Joseph and Rosemary Uremovic.
Lynn graduated from Ss. Cyril and Methodius Grade School in 1968 and Joliet East High School in 1972. Lynn worked for International Games for 15 years. Most recently she was employed by Lincoln-Way Special Education District 843 as a school bus monitor.
One of Lynn’s great joys was seeing a smile on the faces of the students on her bus. She often remarked how inspirational their smiles were to her.
Lynn is survived by her sister, Marilyn and brother-in-law, Darrell Sloniker. Also, nephews, Scott (Kara) Sloniker and family, Sydney and Zachary, as well as Todd Sloniker and family, Jacob and Maddison.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynn’s name to Lincoln-Way Area Special Education Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
A Celebration of Lynn’s life will begin on Saturday, October 8, 2016 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435. Interment of cremated remains to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Per Lynn’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
