Survived by Loving daughters Mariellen Lesnik, Leanne (Tom) Peterson, Lisa (Chuck) Howell, Sandi (Scott) Malone Grandfather of Michelle, Tony, Brittany, Drew, Christian, Mitchell and Derek. Brothers Joe (June), Bill (Mary) and John (Joan) Lesnik. Brother-in-law Carl (Bonnie) Sowa. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Joliet. Preceded in death by his wife Virginia (Nee Sowa), parents John and Mary (Verbic) Lesnik Lud was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII, retired from US Steel after 30 years of service. Lud was a 1941 graduate of Joliet Catholic High School where he played two major sports. He was a member of St. Joseph Senior Parishioners, Charter Member of American Legion Post 1080, Slovenian Cultural Society and St. Francis Society KSKJ. Lud was an avid stamp collector and played baseball and basketball with various organizations in the Joliet area. Tezak Funeral Home 1211 Plainfield Rd.
